Mighty Mix Dog Food Products are designed to enhance the overall health and wellbeing of your dog in the best possible way - the natural way. Getting the right balance of vitamins and minerals for your dog is essential. Deficiencies are known to cause specific illnesses: calcium (bone deformity or fractures); zinc (scaly skin, poor wound healing); iron (anaemia); vitamin A (eye diseases, muscle weakness); and vitamin D (bone deformity or fractures). Excesses are also known to cause illnesses: calcium (bone and joint problems); vitamin D (diarrhoea, weight loss, calcium overload in the blood); vitamin A (loss of appetite, bone deformity); and zinc (blocks absorption of calcium).

Mighty Mix Dog Food Products contain Wholegrain Cereal, Meats & Fat, Omega 3, 6 & 9, cold pressed flaxseed flour, eggs, green lipped mussels, Kelp, Garlic, Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar, Vitamins & Minerals. These natural and wholesome foods are readily absorbed to maintain the balance of minerals in your dog's diet. The Base of the Mighty Mix Biscuit range is a winning formula and has not been altered across the range but what has been enhanced is the quantity of the additional nutrients and vitamins that have been added.

Mighty Mix considers ALL LIFE STAGES of your dog and has formulated each Mighty Mix Biscuit to meet AAFCO (Association of American Feeding Control Officials) nutritional Standards that provide a complete and balanced diet for all life stages of your dog. Traditional adult formulas DO NOT contain sufficient protein levels to sustain good muscle growth for puppies, which raises concern for the health of an active adult dog, needing EXTRA protein for muscle repair in youth or facing hard work. Considering also the mature dog struggling with muscle density loss due to old age requires higher levels of protein

It is well documented that feeding puppies a diet that is too high in calories, calcium, and vitamin D contributes to the development of bone and joint problems. Too little calcium and vitamin D, and the puppies could develop rickets. Mighty Mix Biscuits are higher in protein and minerals and suitable for ALL LIFE STAGES of your dog, unlike many other brands. Calcium levels of 2.49% are below the recommended maximum intake but well above the minimum requirement by AAFCO. Phosphorus levels of 1.41% are also ideal for puppies and bitches in pup as well as the average dog. Calcium and phosphorus must be in balance in the dog's diet along with magnesium for them to thrive. With Mighty Mix there is no need for added supplements to your dog's diet.

While it is said Puppies should be allowed to self feed all of our products; puppies should have as much as they want in about 10 minutes each feeding. If the puppy eats all you gave it in a couple of minutes give more food inside that time. If the puppy leaves any, give it a little less next time you feed it. If the puppy is a gulper, you may need to feed her more often but a lower quantity in each feed. Puppies can get into trouble if they gorge themselves. Don't free feed. Don't leave food down all the time.

Eggs Eggs are virtually free of trans-fat. Unlike other dietary fats, trans-fats do not promote good health and are not essential. Egg yolks are one of the few food sources of vitamin D. Vitamin D is important in the maintenance of the organ systems. It promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from food in the intestine regulating the levels in the blood and promotes re-absorption of calcium in the kidneys. It is also needed for bone growth. Eggs are a wonderful source of nutrition for all ages because of the protein essential for body building and enhanced immune system health. They contain choline, (Accumulation of fats in the liver is prevented by choline), folate and iron. Eggs will help enormously in reducing the diseases caused by modern processed pet foods. They assist in brain health and hormone building, with phospholipids for the health of the entire body and vitamin A for bone health and immune system. Eggs also contain vital anti-oxidants, such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which help protect the eye and reduce the effects of ageing.

Flaxseed Flour Flaxseed is a type of whole grain that is considered a functional food because it contains several major components that are associated with certain health benefits. Flaxseed is the best food sources of the omega 3 fatty acid known as alpha-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid, and molecules vital to blood pressure regulation. Flaxseed oil is also highly unsaturated, which may also help lower total blood cholesterol. Much like that found in oats the fiber in the seed is soluble. Lignin, a type of phytonutrient known as a phytoestrogen, can be found in other foods but its highest concentrations are found in flaxseed. It copies the hormone estrogen, and may also act as an antioxidant. Dietary fiber is the part of the plant foods that cannot be digested by the body. Fiber has a laxative effect and may help promote digestive system function. Flaxseed contains both insoluble and soluble fiber

Kelp Kelp is called a miracle plant; kelp is the best natural source of many trace minerals. It is also a good source of protein and a rich source of iodine and iron; iron is important for blood cell function. It can, reduce skin problems, aid in the healing process, minimize pain from arthritis, reduce breeding problems, increase stamina and endurance, help boost the immune system, and improve over-all health of your dog, Great for pregnant/nursing dogs.

Omegas 3, 6, & 9 Omegas 3, 6, & 9 provide a healthy balance of essential fatty acids that are essential for total body health. These fatty acids help with healthy skin and coat, growth and development of the nervous system and play an important role in the structure of cell membranes, as well as support the immune system. Omega fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats. They are healthier than saturated fats. Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids are essential fatty acids. Dogs' bodies cannot manufacture them, and they must consume them in their diets. Omega 9 fatty acids are not essential. Their bodies need omega 9 fats for immune system function, but they can manufacture them from other sources. Omega 3 fatty acids prevent heart disease and helps normalize lipid levels, and lower blood pressure. Omega 6 fatty acids compete for enzymes with omega 3, so the amounts of the two need to be balanced. Most omega 6 fatty acids produce an inflammatory response that may be necessary for the immune system.

Apple Cider Vinegar Apples are among the most-healthy fruits. They contain a lot of vitamins and minerals, such as phosphorous, magnesium, calcium, iron, and many trace elements as well. Apple cider vinegar is hard to beat as a dog food product. It is made from nutritious apples and retains many of the fruit's beneficial components. Fermentation produces enzymes and nutrients that make apple cider vinegar the incredible product it is. Apple cider vinegar has the ability to make dogs feel better, be more energized and look better. Potassium, which apple cider vinegar has an abundance of, helps to prevent brittle teeth. It is essential for the replacement of worn-out tissues within the body. This mineral is also important to soft tissue repair, as calcium is to the bones and teeth. Pectin helps to regulate blood pressure. Malic acid makes apple cider vinegar anti-viral, anti-bacterial & anti-fungal. Calcium helps create strong bones and teeth. Ash gives Apple Cider Vinegar an alkaline property which aids in maintaining proper pH levels in the digestive tract and assists with urinary infections and bladder problems in dogs. Apple cider vinegar is a powerful detoxifying and purifying agent. It breaks down fatty, mucous and phlegm deposits. By breaking down these substances it improves the health and function of the kidneys, bladder and liver, by preventing excessively alkaline urine and neutralizing any toxic substances that enter the body. Apple cider vinegar helps with the cleansing and clotting processes of the blood by assisting with blood oxidation.

Honey The carbohydrates in honey can help improve energy, strengthen immune system, and much more. Honey is a healthy way to get an energy boost. It can boost their endurance and reduce muscle fatigue. Honey can help in many areas including relief from bladder infections, arthritis, and bad breath. Honey increases calcium absorption which can help arthritic joints. When combined with apple cider vinegar; honey works as a natural and gentle laxative, aids constipation, and provides an array of vitamins and minerals. Honey is easily digested, and helps kidneys and intestines function better. The Ant-microbial activity reduces acid production, thus killing bacteria.

Garlic Everyday cell recovery will benefit from the boost in the immune system from the garlic concentrate and flaxseed flour omegas 3, 6, and 9. Garlic is traditionally believed to be a blood purifier and an immune stimulant that all animals can benefit from. Many dog owners worry about the relation between garlic and onions. Onions are harmful to dogs because they contain high levels of thiosulphate. Garlic, however, does not contain as high concentration levels as onion. The levels in garlic are barely traceable and can be easily excreted so is not stored in the body.

Wholegrain Cereal The high energy level of our products speaks for themselves, Mighty Mix does not use cereals as a bulking agent in their products; instead they are used for the goodness they can provide. The outer grain is a natural source of Vitamin B, The fiber helps condition the bowel, which keeps it healthy. We use the inner part of the mixed cereal which is a natural source of Vitamin E. We do not use the outer grain known as the husk as this is considered a bulking agent with no vitamins and is a bowel irritant

Green Lipped Mussels Green-lipped mussel is a New Zealand shellfish, the extract of which is believed to be helpful in maintaining general well being in your dog and useful in the treatment of arthritis, poor joint mobility, skin inflammation, connective tissue repair, cartilage maintenance and impact related injuries in your dog, be it from working or just running around. Green-lipped mussel inhibits inflammation in the body after injury or as a result of general wear and tear. Inflammation is normal in some situations but consistent or excessive inflammation will result in pain and damage to the body, including the joints. Green-lipped mussels contain omega 3 which is necessary to support your animal's body.
