Jan Wilson has a large dog family which includes an Irish Terroir, a Huntaway, six heading dogs and a Chihuahua. They’re called Baxter, Jed, Blue, Pea, Dot, Flip, Trevor, Fly and Stanley. Jan has been with Mighty Mix since 2014. She used to help Graham Northcott with his Mighty Mix runs with her mum and when he decided to sell, she thought, why not! She loves that Mighty Mix allows her a chance to see all of Taranaki and have a good work life balance.
Her favourite thing to do is take her dogs across the farm on her horse. She also loves meeting all the Mighty Mix dogs on her run and doesn’t mind giving them a good cuddle. A memorable moment was when her customer, Frank Pullen flew his own plane down to pick up his Mighty Mix, some dogs really do get the special treatment!
